7:33pm Sheri and Bob are in the middle
of watching House, one of Bob's favorite shows
a commercial comes on
"Al" looks at his watch and says
"What time does House come on tonight 7:00 or 8:00"
Sheri stares for a minute not quite sure what to say.
Then she says "Bob House has been on now
for about 30 minutes..."
He looks at his watch again and says
"Oh , then we missed the first half"
Oy vey. :)
This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

I love how you named Alzheimer's as if it's a separate entity living with you. Because it is, really. And it breaks my heart to read your entries, because my dad's name was Bob, just like your husband.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry too much about what others think about your blog. Write it for you.
