This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Well 100 posts this will be to this blog
But Bob and "Al" are in a fog
Not that Sheri thought it would all go away
She is just wanting someone to hear what she says...

Psalm 88:18
You have taken my companions and loved ones from me;
the darkness is my closest friend

  2. Your way of communicating this experience is so touching and poignant. To me it's remarkable that you have time and energy to post so often and that is surely a testament to writing's theraputic value. Continued best wishes to you and your family...

  3. Thank you Julie. Writing is certainly theraputic for me, I did not know how much until now. It is odd that I can be in the house with Bob and yet be so alone.
