This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.

Living with Bob and Al

Tomorrow Bob and Sheri will be married for 21 years
Al doesn't remember though...
Sheri might just buy herself an anniversary card
Or at least go to Wallgreens on the way to pick up
his meds and read herself a card...
Bob and Sheri used to do that all the time
Sheri, will look at her watch at exactly 2:30 pm
Sheri will turn to Bob and Al and say
Happy Anniversary!
Bob and Al will say "Oh is today our Anniversary? I didn't know that."
Well maybe I am not alone in this
Don't all husbands forget their anniversary?
At least Bob and Al have a good excuse!
