This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

At the doctors office, the Dr.will ask
"Bob, do you know who I am or where you are at?"
Al will sit quietly, waiting for Bob
Bob and Al turn to Sheri, scared and somewhat alarmed.

The notes say " the wife answers most of the stuff"
Sheri trys not to cry, the doc says "I know this tough."

Sometimes I don't think that they REALLY do...
Tough is only TOUGH .. if you've walked in our shoes...

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.
