This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Bob is safe and content, Bob is safe and content, Bob is safe and content, Bob is safe and content, Bob is safe and content, Bob is safe and content, Bob is safe and content, Bob is safe and content.

  1. Sheri...you deserve great credit that "Bob is Safe and Content". You have been his caretaker and now are his advocate. Glad to see the fabulous Hummingbird picture. Here's a quote about these amazing little creatures:
"Legends say that Hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy and celebration. The Hummingbird's delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life's sweetest creation." Be well Sheri and how about making plans for a week-end getaway w/family or friends? Bob's new caregivers will take good care of him now and you can check in when you return. Be gentle with yourself.
