This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Pictures can be so deceiving, but one thing is true "Al" smiles (ok a half smile) much more often then Bob ever did, so Sheri will take this one at face value.
One moment at time pause , praise, pray.

  1. Sheri, you inspire me with your determination & intentionality to find something positive every single day. I know it is not easy to be thankful & positive with "Al" in your & Bob's lives. I am praying for a change in attitude as I am currently struggling with bitterness and a sense of defeat. Reading your daily posts reminds me that I am not alone in suffering and that it is possible to be thankful in the midst of pain. Thank you!
