This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

If Sheri were honest, she would tell you that she has a hard time getting excited about things. Sheri, for a long time has let her life be led by its circumstances and she has had a bit of a "cautionary tale" feeling about her life. She is learning to rely on God, not just for direction, but for giving her the ability to trust her decisions, and giving her permission to put some parameters around her anxiety driven world, and learn to enjoy life, even with Bob and "Al".
Sheri will continue to pause, praise and pray.
