This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Bob and "Al" singing :)

  1. That is so nice, he is keeping busy with his work and singing at the same time.

Looks like he is enjoying himself, bless the lord :)

  2. This made me smile so much. And at the same time I can see how he might well fool so many people into thinking things are much better than they really are. He really does look "fine" at first glance. Thank you for sharing it Sheri, it's lovely to put a real face to all the stories you share. x

  4. this made me cry...there is no depth to the losses we caregivers are coping with...he does seem very content with his "work" thought
