This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Bob is not sure about who is who of his sisters anymore. Sheri invited his youngest sister and her husband over to the house to play the piano and spend some time with him, Sheri knows "Al" is getting worse and does not want any regrets along the way. Anyway, when they left, Sheri asked Bob if he knew who that was. "Al" paused for a long moment of thought and said questioningly "One of the girls?" Sheri was pleased he knew at least that, since he had 8 sisters, and 8 names to choose from. :)
