This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character"Al" that I created in 2008 represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Bob has a concert today for "work" (code for Adult Day Center). When Sheri dropped him off this morning they were running a little late. "Al" struggled out of the car with his cane in hand,  put his thumb in his belt loop stretching out his back in his usual way and proudly stated, "Well they are not going any where without me, so now that I'm here they can get going."  Soooooo not Bob at all.         :)
Gota love him!

  1. I only found your blog a few days ago. My husband is 65 and was diagnosed in January with AD. He doesn't forget words yet but I realize what's ahead. I appreciate your humor in what I know are difficult times.

  2. Thank you Sandy for reading I hope all is going ok with your world.
