This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is going to venture out of her comfort zone to day and take Bob and "Al" with her to function  hosted by her employer. She is very nervous about this, in fact she has avoided this type of thing at all cost. But Sheri is recognizing she is avoiding life by doing this. She also is realizing that she has no idea how much longer she will be able to get Bob in an upright position. He walks slowly with a cane right now, but he is walking. Does it really matter if he says things that make no sense? Or if he tells someone he was an over the road truck driver? Who really cares? So Sheri is going to put her fears aside and just do it.  :)

  1. You've thought this out, sounds like a wise decision to me, not that my opinion matters.
