This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

In Sheri's never ending quest to find something for Bob and "Al" to do, Sheri decided to sit with Bob in the living room and let him put papers through the shredder while she sorted another stack.( She really is trying to get organized in this tiny house she rented) At any rate Bob insisted on playing with every button on top and eventually got it jammed. "Al" could not find the off and on switch and in the quick second it took Sheri to get up to unplug it "Al" turned the shredder up side down.... we all know how that turned out, and due to yesterdays vacuum cleaner adventure, Sheri had nothing to clean up the mess with, except the old fashion way of course.  Ahh... tomorrow is another day  :)
