This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Home for lunch a little early because Sheri was
Fearful of what she might find,
But Al told Bob it was too cold in the house,
( we do have the only house with a wind chill factor inside the house)
So they are beginning the ritual of putting up plastic over the windows inside.....
Bob could not find his tape measure ( Al left it in the light switch hole)
Based on that ...the project should keep them busy at least a few weeks!

Bob mentioned that Daughter number one had told him
He wasn't allowed to work electricity any more.....
His face filled with anger, then sadness
Redirection I thought....
" I think the plastic will work great to keep out the storm".
