This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

LORD why would you leave me in this place, this pit of sorrow?  Have I not done what you have asked? Have I not pleased you LORD ? Have I sin not yet forgiven? Tell me LORD I beg you... no I demand it of you!! My soul cries out to you LORD... I can not breathe, don't you hear me I CAN NOT BREATHE.

Calm Sheri, calm. Talk to the girls. Let them help you to understand. You and Bob raised them and they are your closest and most knowledgeable help. They can support you and you know you are doing the right thing for Bob and for you. You can still see him every day. Others have been down this road. It's not an easy trip. The big decisions are never easy but right is right.
