This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri 's is trying to live in the moment, there is much to rejoice about. Daughter number one getting married in just a couple of weeks, Daughter number 2's husband returning to civilian life and coming home right before Thanksgiving. But Sheri knows in her heart she is losing this race against time, but for now She is going to keep adjusting the plan... moment by moment if necessary, and choose joy.

He gives us strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” —Isaiah 40:29–31
