This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

"Al's" sundowning is like clockwork. 2:38 in the afternoon yesterday "Al" threw Bob's nuts and bolts on the table said he was "out of here" and promptly led Bob to escape through the patio door, and almost bust the screen out. Note to self " keep patio door locked and Charlie bar down at all times. eek.

  1. I know it's not funny, but you're funny the way you tell the story! I know you must think at times like this, is this really my life? Keep your sense of humor, not many people can do what you're doing! You're a saint!
