This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Daughter number 2 ( the one who shields her heart with he sleeve) is home from California (Sheri is so very excited:). They decided to go to thrift store yesterday. The Halloween items are abundant right now. Daughter number 2 has already developed Sheri's sense of humor with her Dad , because she had a good giggle when she had to convince her Dad that he could not have the Ninja Sword  "Al" found... even though as Bob said "it came with the sheath and it was too good to pass up at that great price."  :)

  1. I read your posts daily. My husband is in the moderate stage and loves to shop at Lowes. I seldom let him but useless stuff but last week son #1 kept him for the day and let him buy whatever he wanted AND let him engage in conversation with anyone. My husband said he had a "wonderful time." The bag of interesting items he bought was truly interesting!
