This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is feeling a little like she would like to stay in bed and pull the covers up over her head.

  1. I have many days when I feel the same! Thank you for letting me know I'm not the only one.

  2. "Blessed be the LORD, for he has wondrously shown his steadfast love to me when I was in a besieged city." Psalm 31:21
Dear Sheri, praying for you this AM. I like to take this verse and after the word "when..." fill in whatever situation is stressing or upsetting me at the time; kind of like making it personal for me at that moment. From the same chapter verse 2: "Incline your ear to me: rescue me speedily! Be a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me!"
    Love & prayers, Kathryn
