This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Spending 6 hours in the ER with Bob and "Al" was not Sheri's idea of a relaxing Saturday. Fortunately things turned out okay for the most part. Doctors and nurses still don't quite get it, this Alzheimer's thing. You can not ask "them" if they are feeling any of the symtoms they came in with,  because by the time they asked him this "Al" had no idea why he was at the hospital. :(

    Many doctors don't understand Alz unless they are geriatric specialists.
