This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living with Bob and Al

Sheri hates this disease
Yesterday daughter number 1
decided it was time for her first
solo road trip
She promised she would call when she got there
ofcourse she forgot...
but while Sheri was in the tears of worry
Bob had no idea that Sheri needed comfort
Sheri told him of her worries
But by the the time the words were out
"they"had already forgotten what the subject was
distracted by "their buddy" the cat...
Sheri HATES this disease
Sometimes ( selfishly) she hates it even more for herself
then for "them"..
Then she feels guilty

"So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."

Matthew 6:34 New American Standard Bible
