This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

Living without Bob and "Al"

Sheri is having a hard time accepting that it has been a year today since Bob and Al became one again, rejoicing with Lord. She is sure he is singing in the heavenly choir.
Sheri needs to pause, praise and pray.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is glad 2016 is behind her. She will enter 2017 praying about how she can think outside of herself and her situation and focus on others. She knows 2017 will be a year of significant change... for everyone.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri tried to be as prepared as possible for the wedding and brought as many distractions as she could with her, but "Al" liked the pine cone decorations on the table the best. So much so that Bob's pants pockets were stuffed with them. :)

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri is living one day at a time, Bob and "Al" are living one moment at a time. She is grateful, prayerful, and joyful.  God is good.

Living with Bob and "Al"

Sheri was recently contacted by a lady that saw the video of Bob and "Al' singing "How Great Thou "Art" on facebook. She asked if she could share the video on a facebook page she administers called Alzheimers Inspiration what a wonderful name. Anyway, Sheri said yes, but she had know idea how many views sweet Bob and "Al" would get. As of this morning his internet debut has 6786 views. There are many bad things that happen on the internet, but this made Sheri's heart sing. :)
Thank you Alzheimer's Inspiration! If you haven't visited did this page please do and if you like what you see,  like the page as well :)
