This blog is about life with my husband who was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer's and Frontal Lobe Dementia in 2008. He was 64 at the time although now, knowing more about the disease, Alzheimer's was present many, many years ago, which is why early detection is so important. As you read the blog the character "Al" that I created in 2008, represents the way that Alzheimer's is invading our daily lives.
There is an archive tab further down the page that starts from the beginning of our journey.

  2. I agree, beautiful! Bob started my day off right this morning when I listened to him singing "How Great Thou Art". Glad you are taking videos; only have one of my mother (with Alz) and she is singing "Zippity-Doo-Dah" but it is precious :)
    Praying for you~~~Kathryn Z.

  3. In this caregiver life, isn't it so very ironic that one caregiver could be envious of another...My hubby hasn't spoken in over a year and when I hear your hubby singing I think to myself how lucky she is to still be able to talk to him whether it makes any sense or not... sometimes it's just the little things :) Tanis

    1. Thank you for sharing that. I have had many moments like that. It reminds us it only gets worse and to appreciate where we are right now :) Hugs to you.
